residence. police aren't calling her a suspect but believe locating her is critical in this case. investigators say she's not married to the father and it's unclear what custody arrangement they've had. hu hugo ortez is the oldest. the third child is two years old their father fwound a fatal gunshot wound in front of his house he lives in a mother-in-law unit behind a main house on 16th street. his neighbors called police as soon as they discovered the body. we've had a homicide we don't know why the individual was murdered. there are children what aren't there and the mother is gone. that is somewhat suspicious. haven't she's a suspect in this case. she's someone we need to locate.

>> anyone with information is urged to call police. live in san pablo, abc7 news >> wore breaking news in oakland now, police on the scene of a shooting that left a young child wounded. police telling abc7 news the child was grazed in the foot, believed to be three years old. you can see an ac transit bus there to the right of the scene. police think it might have been hit by gunfire. we don't have other reports of injuries the gunfire reported on international boulevard near 65th avenue around 5:30 tonight. >> an antioch police officer shot a suspect making an arrest a two hours ago, officers confronted a group of people and say a person armed with a gun took off running. officers chased him. attempting to detain that person, one officer opened fire the suspect was hit.

the police department says the officer was not hurt. >> the intense heat today proved to be a lot of power for two firefighters battling a fire that began in a pile of rubbish. crews arrived and flames jumped to the attic. they were able to get it under control quickly. two firefighters suffered heat exhaustion and needed medical attention. one of them take wen to the hospital the cause of the fire is under investigation. >> well, this is a parent's worst nightmare. a family from utah visiting fisherman's wharf. the 2-year-old son died the result of a freak accident the little boy was crushed when a large bronze statue toppled on him as he was playing on it. >> about an hour ago the store

issued a statement saying this is an unfortunate and traj wrik accident saying they're cooperating with investigators and our hearts prayers go out to the family the accident happened out of the sidewalk in the busy tourist area. >> the child had a dolphin statue fall on him. he suffered injuries and was transported to san francisco general hospital and later died from injuries. >> the statue with three dolphins is now in the evidence room. it's similar to this one found in fisherman's wharf. police say the little boy was playing on the statue, just outside of the store when it fell on him. and after taking him to san francisco general hospital, they realized he'd suffered internal injuries and died four hours later. a spokesperson for the family in utah says friends and family are

lawyers for raymond shrimp boy chow says they're talking to lawyers about letting him out of jail. his lawyers filed a motion arguing of the 20 people, 14 have been released on bail. they contend he's put his past behind him. a hearing is scheduled for wednesday morning. >> caltrans planning to do work that would force them to close boards 1 and 2, possibly at the same time. but only at night. so that affects you. the work begins at 10:00 p.m tonight involving reis a a.lining and replacing the median barrier.

the reporter picks up the story tonight with what happened in vegas. a motive that left five people dead is a mystery. sources tell cnn he shot and killed two police officers having lunch. allen beck had a wife, and six children his fellow officer a new father. friends are struggling to make sense of the attack. >> two people did something horrible and took lives of beautiful people. witnesses telling police the couple ran across a parking lot and shot and killed a bystander, that is where the woman reportedly shot her husband, then herself.
